Noche en Blanco 2016

About 1000 people visited the Museo de Chiclana during the last two “Noches en Blanco”

Most visitors were the chiclaneros and chiclaneras who, attracted by the town's leisure activity options, decided to know more details about the history of the city through the different rooms offered by the museum. The events took place on 22 July and 12 August.

The Vice President of Emsisa, Carmen Jiménez and the director of the Museum, Jesús Romero,  received the donation of five artistic works made by Daniel Gil, and artist from Segovia.

These works are based on landscapes of the coast, specially places like marshes , estuaries and beaches for which the author feels very attracted.
The techniques used in these works made between 2004 and 2005 were etching and aquatint .

New summer workshops about archeology for young people

Today begins the archaeology workshop organized by the Museo de Chiclana until the 29st July. Those make up a complementary training offer in art education and Natural, Social and Cultural knowledge. Besides, the main theme is the history of Chiclana and the archaeological remains found in the Cerro del Castillo.
